PIPEDA Compliance
Last updated: August 2026
Blackcomb Analytics is a Canadian company, and Blackcomb Bridge is operated in compliance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act ("PIPEDA") — Canada's federal law governing how private-sector organizations collect, use, and disclose personal information in the course of commercial activity.
This page explains how we approach each of PIPEDA's 10 Fair Information Principles in the context of the Bridge service.
1. AccountabilityBlackcomb Analytics is responsible for personal information under our control. Questions or concerns can be directed to info@blackcombanalytics.com.
2. Identifying PurposesWe collect Caller information (name, number, what they need, urgency) for one purpose: to route that lead accurately to the business they called. Customer business information is collected to operate and bill for the Bridge service.
3. ConsentA Customer consents to Bridge processing their business information by signing up for the service. A Caller's engagement with Bridge during a phone call is the basis on which call information is captured and passed to the business they're calling — the same basis on which any business receptionist, human or automated, would capture that information.
4. Limiting CollectionWe collect only what's needed to answer the call and route the lead — we don't ask callers for information beyond what's relevant to their inquiry.
5. Limiting Use, Disclosure & RetentionCall information is used only to serve the business the Caller contacted. It is not sold, and not used for unrelated marketing. See our Privacy Policy for retention details.
6. AccuracyWe rely on the information provided during a call and by our Customers to keep records reasonably accurate for their intended use. Customers and Callers can request corrections at any time.
7. SafeguardsWe use encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers appropriate to the sensitivity of the information involved.
8. OpennessThis page, along with our Privacy Policy, is our commitment to being clear about our data practices. We're happy to answer specific questions directly.
9. Individual AccessCallers and Customers can request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal information by contacting us or the business they called.
10. Challenging ComplianceIf you believe we haven't met our obligations under PIPEDA, contact us first at info@blackcombanalytics.com so we can address it directly. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
This page describes our general approach to PIPEDA and is not a substitute for formal legal advice. For full detail on what information we collect and how it's used, see our Privacy Policy.
